As a conductor and waveshaper of modular synths, analog synths, and guitar pedals, Tomo Johannes in der Muhlen, a genre-defying German-born DJ/producer, challenges the rules of techno styles and exchanges the in-the-box DAW productions for fat analog modular sounds. Not so much influenced by today's electronic music but more by sounds from the past and experimental border-moving music.  
 
Tomo is always on the road, performing worldwide with his Ableton DJ Live set or Live Modular performances. At the same time, his regular releases on Beatport produced on modular synths, have become a mainstay on the platform's top 100 charts.

Tomos performances Live with Hybrid or Modular synth setups at esteemed festivals like Ultra Europe, SONUS Festival, RESISTANCE Ultra, LMF Las Vegas, LMF Festival, Electric Summer Festival Germany, Season of Sounds (Germany ), TraumHanger ( Munchen ), DOMO Granada, and at legendary clubs like KitKatClub Berlin, Fitz Roy Berlin, and Re:mise Berlin, have solidified his presence in the global techno scene.

Sharing stages with techno greats, like DJ Umek, Adam Breyer, Charlotte de Witte, Fatima Hajji, Fernanda Martins, Christina Varela, Du'ART, Eric Sneo, Black Lotus Berlin, Sara Landry, Coyu, Hannes Bierger, Tomo has established his place among the elite in the genre.

Tomo embarked on a new venture in May 2019, introducing STEEL Venue in Rovinj, where he is a creative director and Resident DJ. STEEL is a club and an electronic music powerhouse encompassing a label and event company featuring top-tier international techno artists.
